Hog Roast Dunkeld – Celebrating Local Food At A Food Festival
If there’s one thing Scotland is renowned for, it’s our amazing food scene! With our capital crowned the best place for foodies in the whole of the UK, and Glasgow coming in at a very respectable third place, it’s clear that good scran is an important part of life here. And if anyone appreciates good food, it’s Hog Roast Dunkeld!
As one of Lanarkshire’s leading catering services, Hog Roast Dunkeld is always eager to share our love of hog roasting with fellow food lovers, and last weekend, we got the chance to do just that when we attended a nearby food festival that aimed to celebrate local food.
As all of our menus are a culmination of locally-sourced ingredients, we couldn’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to share our legendary hog roast rolls with the public! So, on the day of the event, we travelled to the location, set up our stall amidst all of the other vendors and fired up the grill.
The stalls around us were offering everything from fresh seafood and grilled meats to vegan dishes and sweet treats, but even with the variety of cuisines on offer, Hog Roast Dunkeld’s famous spit-roasted pig stood out from the crowd.
As our catering manager expertly carved the golden-coloured hog, revealing the glistening pork within, a large group gathered around our stall, eager to try our speciality hog roast for themselves.
The meat, which had been cooking for hours, was full of flavour, and this was only heightened by the crispy crackling and tangy applesauce accompaniments.
Hog Roast Dunkeld watched as the customers savoured every bite of the mouth-watering pork, and we happily shared cooking tips with those who voiced their curiosity about our cooking process.
As the day went on, the festival-goers enjoyed live music performances, locally-brewed craft beers, and a variety of food options. When the event came to an end, our Hog Roast Dunkeld team was proud to have been a part of the festival and to have had the opportunity of showcasing our delicious hog roast! The event proved to be a wonderful celebration of local food and a great way to bring people together.
