Lucy is having her first baby later in 2023 and her best friend has organised a baby shower this June to celebrate the new arrival. The shower is taking place at a village hall, which will be beautifully decorated in a pink theme since Lucy knows she is having a baby girl. Alongside the pink décor, there will also be a variety of baby-themed activities and games, including ‘guess the name’ and ‘guess the weight’. To make the party extra special, Hog Roast Hornsey has been hired to provide a delicious buffet lunch, followed by a luxury dessert course for the 30 guests to enjoy. The catering package was customised especially for this event to ensure that there was something for every guest to enjoy, which is always important.

On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Hornsey team arrived at the hall in the morning to prepare for the 2:00pm meal time. We began by slow-roa sting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. The succulent meat was then expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling.

For the dessert course, we served individual cheesecakes, sticky toffee pudding, summer pudding, and chocolate torte. Each dessert was accompanied by English cream and fresh berries to ensure that it looked as good as it tasted!
