As the long weekend approached, calls flooded in from eager customers across the country, all seeking to elevate their gatherings with mouth-watering meals. Among them were Greg and Louise, a couple looking to host a memorable get-together for their extended family.

With the daunting task of catering for 30-odd guests, Greg and Louise wisely turned to Hog Roast East Lothian. With excitement building, they secured their booking, trusting they were in capable hands.

On Sunday, the day of the gathering, Hog Roast East Lothian’s catering manager, Steve, arrived at Greg and Louise’s home, ready to work his culinary magic! Taking charge of the kitchen, he alleviated the couple’s stress, allowing them to focus on enjoying the festivities ahead.

Using our top-of-the-line grill, Steve spent the entirety of the afternoon preparing a standout hog roast accompanied by an array of delicious sides.

By the time the guests arrived, the hog roast had filled the air with appetising aromas. And after greeting their hosts, the guests excitedly gathered around to watch Steve slice up the full-size hog!

For the small number of vegetarian guests, Steve had prepared grilled vegetable kebabs with halloumi chunks, flatbreads and a tangy tzatziki dip, ensuring everyone was catered to with equal care and attention.

But the culinary delights didn’t stop there. With the couple opting for Hog Roast East Lothian’s Alfresco Menu, guests were further treated to our rustic charcuterie platters, brimming with premium cold cuts, Italian cheeses, and artisan breads. And to sweeten the deal, homemade cheesecake and summer puddings provided a light and refreshing conclusion to this savoury spread.
