The Hog Roast Glencoe team were very busy this past week as we worked with one client over three different nights and three different events in three different cities to help fuel the fostering of collaborations and idea sharing in the Scottish tech industry.

As a corporate caterer, Hog Roast Glencoe is well used to providing dining services for networking events. For us, they are an excellent opportunity to try out some of our differing services and skills as we find that the best two ways to cater for such events is either with a mid-event buffet, or with our Hog Roast Glencoe servers circulating the room during breaks with platters and delicious canape bites. We have worked with all sorts of clients in all sorts of industries, but very rarely do we work with one continuously on multiple nights in a row in one week.

But that was the task this week as Hog Roast Glencoe were hired by a veteran client in the tech industry who has put his years of experience and contacts to give back to the sector and help to usher in a new generation of industry connections by running frequent networking events. These events invite in local heads in the tech industry to come and do talks, show off their latest project, or offer out advice on aspects of the industry that they have learned from in the past. The event was structured to have 3 talks then a 20-minute break, 3 talks, etc, so that there was plenty of opportunity for attendees to meet and chat with each other too. Halfway through each event there was also then an extended hour break where our Hog Roast Glencoe team then came into play.

We served up a massive dinner buffet for attendees to enjoy at their leisure. Our hog roast was served as a pulled pork along with rolls and wraps, and then we had plenty of smaller bites and fresh salad and potato sides too. At each of the three nights, it always went down a treat and was more or less picked clean by the end of each night!

It’s hungry work fostering collaborations after all, so we at Hog Roast Glencoe are happy to have down our part!
