Hog Roast Falkirk Won’t Let Rain Ruin Your Wedding Day!
Rain on your wedding day is supposed to be a sign of good luck – or so our Celtic ancestors would say, anyway! The idea behind this old superstition is that a knot is almost impossible to untie when wet. So if it’s raining when you ”tie the knot”, it’s a sign that your marriage will be just as steadfast. Pretty cool, huh?
In our experience, this ancient saying certainly makes brides and grooms feel a whole lot better about downpours on their big day. But no matter how lucky the rain may be, we know that no one wants to end up soaked on their wedding day. And that’s where Hog Roast Falkirk’s marquees come in handy.
Offering practical shelter for all kinds of outdoor events and celebrations, Hog Roast Falkirk has a selection of marquees and tents for our customers and clients to choose from. These allow alfresco-style gatherings to go ahead, whatever the weather, without detracting from the outdoorsy element of the function.
For Shaun and Kayla’s big day, our marquee was a saving grace. While their big day had begun with clear blue skies, things took a turn, and by the time the early afternoon had rolled around, everything outside the tent was grey and rainy. Our marquee kept the guests from getting drenched during the shindig and matched the tone of the rustic reception perfectly.
In contrast to the bleak weather, Hog Roast Falkirk had prepared a comforting spread, which met the tone of Shaun and Kayla’s rustic theme. We served our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which comprised Texan 24-hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs and BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls with vegan coleslaw and plenty of tantalisingly tasty side options. These included Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, Greek salad, and buttery roasted new potatoes, which were infused with rosemary and garlic.
The guests eagerly stuffed their faces with Hog Roast Falkirk’s scrumptious soul food, while the rain battered down on the tent above, which added to the whole experience, making Shaun and Kayla’s wedding feel all the more magical and romantic.
