Hog Roast Cumbernauld Catered For An Unforgettable 90s Birthday Blowout!

Who says birthday parties are only for those “big” milestone years? You know the ones – 21, 30, 40… you get the idea! At Hog Roast Cumbernauld, we believe every birthday is worth going big for, and, sharing our sentiments,  Emma planned the ultimate bash for her boyfriend Carl’s 29th birthday. After all, if the final year of your twenties isn’t something to celebrate, what is?

Emma went all out to make sure Carl’s 29th went down in history – and she nailed it with a retro 90s party at his favourite bar. The space was decked out with shimmering disco balls, banners, and balloons galore. Adding a touch of nostalgia, there were 90s pop culture references all around. And to make things even more epic, guests were encouraged to come in fancy dress – and they did not disappoint. Ali G? Check. Cher Horowitz? Duh. Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Absolutely! Even Woody from Toy Story made an appearance!

Now, with a guest list of 110 people, you need food that’s as unforgettable as the outfits – and that’s where we came in. Hog Roast Cumbernauld’s Southern Slow Roast Menu was the perfect match for this party. We served up a drool-inducing selection of marinated meats, all cooked low and slow for maximum flavour. Our minted lamb was an instant hit, pulled to juicy perfection, while our sticky pork ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. The Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens were another standout dish, packed with delicious, smokey flavour. Even the vegans were singing our praises as they chowed down on our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls!

Our team also served a trio of homemade sauces that took the flavour up a notch – the hickory bourbon BBQ was a crowd favourite, while the Cajun hot pepper sauce brought the heat for the bravest foodies. On the side, we served up Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, creamy mac and cheese, and a combo of sweet potato and traditional fries. Talk about a feast!

As the DJ cranked up the tunes, the dance floor was packed, and Emma couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. She was especially grateful to Hog Roast Cumbernauld for delivering a seamless and delicious food service! And Carl? Well, he was blown away. In his words, it was the best birthday he’d ever had! Now that’s how you end your twenties with a bang!
