Spring Has Sprung And Hog Roast Alloa Is Kicking Off The Season With A Bang

The sun is shining, the skies are blue, the flowers are blooming, and the lambs are frolicking in the fields. Yep, spring has officially sprung here in Alloa, and locals are shaking off the winter blues in the best possible way – by diving headfirst into a whirlwind of fun and excitement! And what better way to kick off the season than with an epic weekend at Springfest?

This wasn’t just your average springtime festival – it was a full-on extravaganza! From heart-racing monster truck shows to motocross stunts that had everyone on the edge of their seats, live music performances that had the crowds busting their best moves, fairground rides for the kiddos (and the kids-at-heart), and an inflatable assault course that challenged even the bravest, there was never a dull moment.

But if you ask us, the best part of the day was the food. As proud foodies, Hog Roast Alloa knows that’s what really takes an event from great to unforgettable, and oh boy, did Springfest deliver! From pizza and hot dogs to noodles and Greek gyros, the food stalls were absolutely on fire. But nothing, and we mean nothing, compared to our legendary hog roast!

Yes, you read that right. Hog Roast Alloa was lucky enough to be chosen as the official caterer of this event, and boy, did we deliver an epic spread!

Our team was front and centre, serving up our beloved hog roast sandwiches. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of sinking your teeth into our tender, juicy pulled pork, you know it’s something special. Paired with sage and onion stuffing, crackling, and homemade applesauce, all nestled in pillowy wholemeal buns, it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The smell alone had people stopping in their tracks, drawn in like bees to honey.

But we didn’t stop there. We’ve got a soft spot for our vegetarian and vegan friends, too! So, we whipped up BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls with plant-based coleslaw – trust us, these were just as irresistible as the hog roast!

Hog Roast Alloa had the BEST time at Springfest. Over 1,000 people visited our stall over the two-day event, and the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive!
